About World Diabetes Day

The International Diabetes Federation (IDF) has once again called upon the diabetes community, including Novo Nordisk, to join forces and unite on the UN-observed World Diabetes Day on 14 November 2009.

Novo Nordisk is proud to be a world leader in diabetes care. We are dedicated to changing the lives of people with diabetes, and will again take that drive and commitment to the UN-observed World Diabetes Day. Changing diabetes by focusing on the people behind the condition has made us a global leader. Seeing that change in action is how we measure our success, it’s what moves us forward in everything we do.

This year World Diabetes Day will be focused on the person behind the condition.We wan't to place people at the heart of diabetes care.

For 2009, activities throughout the world will be carried out. Last year more than 300.000 people were engaged in Novo Nordisk driven activities and we wish to build on this momentum. Through these activities you will be able to learn about how we drive change for people with diabetes. It is where you can unite with us in pushing back the pandemic on behalf of all people with diabetes org people in risk of getting diabetes.
